Hi everyone, I’m Joe Posnanski — a sportswriter, storyteller, and fan. For 40 years, I’ve been writing about sports and joy for newspapers, magazines, websites, and the occasional friend’s holiday card. I’ve covered events on six continents. I haven’t hit Antarctica yet.

JoeBlogs is where I write now — a home for deep dives, rabbit holes, half-baked ideas about sports and life … and lots of baseball.

About Joe Blogs

JoeBlogs is where I write stories about the joy of sports and life — but especially baseball. Some essays go deep (being honest, most go deep), some take detours, all are written with the hope of bringing a little sunshine to your inbox and your day.

JoeBlogs is free thanks to our Brilliant Readers in The Clubhouse, who believe in our mission to make sports fun again.

Writer, Podcaster, Fan

My obituary, I imagine, will lead with me being a No. 1 New York Times bestselling author. My ninth book, BIG FAN, written with Michael Schur, comes out May 19. I’ve also written Why We Love Baseball, Why We Love Football, The Baseball 100, and The Secret of Golf.

Speaking of Mike Schur, we have been doing a podcast together about nonsense called The Poscast for many, many years. We talk baseball. We talk movies. We talk fruit. We do annual Holiday Drafts with our friends. Below is a photo of Mike and me at Wrigley Field. I’m not sure who the other guy in the photograph is.

I live in Charlotte with my wife, Margo, our aging poodle, Westley, and, occasionally, one of our too-old-to-live-at-home daughters, Elizabeth, and Katie. In my spare time, I also write.
