Crunchy peanut butter is just poorly made peanut butter.

Creamy peanut butter, strawberry jelly (or jam, still not sure about the difference) on white bread. No need to cut it in half, just eat the whole thing.

I have a theory that people who like crunchy peanut butter also like orange juice with pulp, and those who like creamy peanut butter like pulp-free, with no one crossing over. I have no idea if this is true, but I want it to be

    • Spencer says:

      Not true for me.

I adore crunchy, and tolerate creamy.

OJ with pulp is terrible, I won’t touch the stuff.

Strange thing is I don’t even like peanuts.

  2. ajb says:

Yes, there is crossover, but only one way. Crunchy peanut butter eaters will eat creamy, but creamy peanut butter eaters will not eat crunchy as a rule. As a result, creamy eaters complain more vociferously, while crunchy eaters sometimes grumble as they eat creamy peanut butter, often suffer silently. Based on data collected on a sample of 120 people.

That fits me, creamy peanut butter and no pulp. I do agree with Michael about the placement of the jam. You must have a moisture layer on the two pieces of bread. PB on both pieces, then jam on one, and slam together.

I’m thankful for Poscasts with Michael Schur.
