After a summer of merriment and trips to the pool and other hot and beautiful places, I am ready to start chronicling our adventures closer to home. (I’ll also be able to find the time to give you the “Want We Did on Summer Break” synopsis as well.)
This is from our late July trip to New York City. We’re taking a break from strolling in Central Park. We were on our way to the carousel and later we did the typical touristy thing and had a real horse ride around the park. (The horse ride went around the part of the park we’d walked earlier that morning, but the girls thought it was fun. I’ll try to jazz up this pic with techniques I’ve picked up in my “Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0″ book I’m reading. But I also now have Adobe Creative Suites Web Design so that’s my back-to-school project next week!
Here’s a pic of us at a mini falls near Cleveland, Ohio. (I need to ask hubby the name of the town again, but I betcha “Falls” is in the name!)
And I think this photo needs no explanation. We didn’t get a chance to ride the Maid of the Mist when we visited Niagara Falls in late June because of a thunderstorm in the area. We’re on the American side here, but shortly took the girls over the border for their first trip out of the country. They have passports that helped, but the bummer was they didn’t even get a stamp in their books. I’d add stickers for them in their passports if I didn’t think it’d invalidate them! Guess we’ll have to find a destination that actual stamps the books next time!
