Another Card Trick

You probably thought I was joking when I said I would be putting up more card tricks in my sad effort to promote The Machine. Well, uh, here’s the second trick.
This one is what I believe magicians call a “self-working trick.” There is no sleight of hand involved. You probably can figure out the math without my help but if you would like the specifics — and you pre-order a copy of The Machine — you can send an email and I will send along the details.
Update: Now it should work. Had it set to private before.
Couldn’t get it to work…..something about it being a private video and accepting a friend’s request.
Maybe that’s the trick?
One month to 9/9/09!
Video is working now, thanks Joe!!
Awesome trick! Can’t wait for 9/9/09
Sports Illustrated must be pinching themselves right about now…
SI: Um… when is our new writer getting here?
JOPO: I’ll be there next week, I’m filming a card trick for YouTube…
SI: Um… Shouldn’t you… I don’t know… be reporting to work?
JOPO: Just a few more minutes… I’m doing a Lego Stop Action of the 1975 World Series next.
SI: Seriously? Do we still have Jason Whitlock’s number?
JOPO: No – wait… I’ll be there right after I do a mashup of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” set to the video of Pete Rose testifying in his gambling deposition. It’ll be off the hook.
SI:
Lego Stop Action? Would that happen to be Batgirl’s Legovision?
I knew how to do this when I was a kid, but forgot about it. I’ll have to try to work it out. Thanks for reminding me about it, Joe.
