You may have seen this hastily made Cleveland tourism video. It’s not entirely safe for work because of language. But … yeah … my hometown.

    Circle Me Bert!!

If THAT were the Drew Carey Show theme, I would have been more apt to watch.

Oddly enough, that makes me MORE want to visit Cleveland than I did before.

The pay phone bit is too much. I thought that was going to be another entry in the “Things my 3 year old will never know that I had to deal with most of my life” – Pay phones. Now I can just take him to Cleveland.

Man, I remember back in the day, walking block to block in Manhattan trying to find one that wasn’t broken or have a line ten people long.

The Cleveland bit from 30 Rock might be more devastating: http://www.hulu.com/watch/856/30-rock-cleveland-get-away

My guess is the Akron video looks exactly the same, except with one building instead of two.

If you don’t live in Cleveland then you probably can’t appreciate how hilarious the line about West 6th and the guys who frequent there is.

(I know the end of that sentence sounds wrong but I don’t know how to fix it.)

I laughed so hard that my face turned red and my eyes watered. The music just felt so right! Hey, Cleveland, at least you aren’t Detroit.

I think we’d all like to flee to the Cleve.

They forgot to mention the partially-homeless guy who asks you for something called “rolling paper” while you wait for a bus after seeing a late movie at Tower City. It is much better to have a car now…
