I haven't read the whole thread, so maybe someone has already posted this, but between 2001 and 2007 Pujols' rate stats were .332/.420/.620. In 100 interleague games he has hit .344/.423/.605 with 91 RBI. (I would note that about one-third of those games were against the Royals, whom Pujols clobbered for .394/.472/.701.) Somehow that running style makes perfect sense for him. But really...bend your knees, Albert! That said, I agree with what others have said--he'll be the greatest RH hitter of all time when he retires. Shame that more people don't appreciate what a treat it is to watch him now. For me, he's definitely reached "if he's at the plate, drop whatever else you're doing to watch" status.
