I agree: let's not argue for days about how much better Bonds' fielding is. Let's just pretend it's next week already. The answer is "a lot." When you put it all together the only possible conclusion you can come to is that The Babe was the most talented baseball player in the history of the sport. Saying Barry Bonds is a”smidgen” better defensively than Babe Ruth is like saying Bonds is a “smidgen” less loved than Ruth. Ruth was known for having a top throwing arm (not surprising considering his pitching past) and not too much more. Bonds is widely considered to be the elite defensive LF of his generation.

Stones. To some extent, it's a refendum on how one feels about some of the bombastic and perhaps pompous Who work like Quadrophenia and Tommy.
