Book Update …

An old-fasioned monster post is coming — maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow — and it has more twists than a Greg Louganis platform dive. Greg Louganis? Remember him? Never mind. I did want to let everyone know that if you bought The Soul of Baseball and ordered a bookplate and stationery, it was dropped in the mail on Friday. My hand is killing me. Thank you so much for your support.

By request, I will extend the bookplate offer until the end of the year. You guys have sold out books both at Amazon and at my favorite Independent, Rainy Day Books — and from what I can tell, their reorders wonâ€™t come in until after the holidays. But the link above goes to Barnes & Noble, which appears to still have books available. And of course books should be available at your local bookstore (I hope).

If you can find the book and would like a bookplate, Iâ€™ll keep the email open. Stationery is limited, but if you specifically ask for a note, Iâ€™ll do what I can to accommodate.

Thanks for all of your hard work in getting these goodies to us. I know how hard it can be to write something over and over again, and so I’m the more appreciative of your efforts.

Just wanted to let you know, your book came in the mail about a week ago as a present for my dad. I hadn’t read it though, and decided to check it out. So unfortunately for my dad, he is now getting a “used” book, since I could not put it down. Kansas City may not have the best sports teams right now, but they definitely have one of the country’s best sports writers. Thanks Joe!
