Bloggy Shorts

We’re going to try and get you an excessively long Herschel Walker post later this week. For that, I will need to get some input from my dear friend and fellow Herschelologist Tommy Tomlinson, the brilliant news columnist for The Charlotte Observer.

I’m also going to try and predict next year’s playoffs and World Series teams using a new method I call, “Stealing again from the Bill James Handbook.”

In the meantime, I’ve been gone for a few days eating turkey and enjoying family, so I’m going to try a new bloggy technique. For the next day or so, I’m going to throw together a few short thoughts and post them separately. I know this goes against the spirit of this blog, not to mention the subtitle, but hey, I hear short posts are quite the blog sensation. Who knows, maybe I’ll like it. I doubt it, but maybe.

You should bite the bullet and change that subtitle to “The longest posts on the Internet or your money back” since you now know what a “blog” is ;)

I’ll have to see the short posts to believe it.

Long, short, blog, post. I’m looking forward to all of it.

No, don’t do it. If your posts are short they will lose the special “memo” feature that they currently have. My friend and I currently take the long posts and copy and paste them into emails to each other and thus make them look like lengthy memos. Then you can read them at your computer and appear to be slaving away on a very important memo. I don’t think that would work for short ones.
